A major in social science allows you to choose a field of focus from the division’s range of disciplines, including anthropology, geography, history, political science and sociology. Then, you can combine classes in sociology and anthropology, for example, to prepare for a career in social services. Or, you could mix geography and history courses for a position at a museum. Choose topics that appeal to you, and then chart your own path to your dream job as you see fit.

Pick your favorite courses from offerings in anthropology, criminal justice, geography, history, political science and sociology. Social science is basically a build-your- own minor that allows you to explore areas you have interest in as well as areas that complement your major.
