Western Edge

The WOU Edge contains articles about campus life, students, faculty and staff, athletics, and everyone’s favorite: AlumNotes. The magazine is published three times each year. In years past the Edge has been sent out to all alumni, due to the increased cost of printing and postage the Edge is currently sent to those who have given a donation (of any amount) to the university in the past two years from publication date.

In Memory

In each issue of the Edge, we recognize alumni and friends who have passed away. These members of the alumni family helped build our university and pave the way for a bright future. If you know of a member of the WOU alumni family who has recently passed away, please contact the Alumni Office (see contact information at the bottom of this page).

Western Oregon University’s Land Acknowledgement
Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR is located within the traditional homelands of the Luckiamute Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
