    All throughout the month of May, we’ll be fundraising by holding a raffle in the WUC and accepting donations to Fostering Success via our website  you can also purchase raffle tickets online)or at www.wou.edu/give. Also keep an eye out for the teal bows on trees around campus, which signify our commitment to supporting educational opportunities for current and former foster youth! 

  • Visit and welcome Jahdi, the muralist working in the WUC between Café Allegro and the Freedom Center. He will be on campus at least through Friday from about 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Meals and snacks are welcome (no Goldfish or olives, please!).

  • ASWOU is sponsoring a “Celebration of Identities.” (Week 2 Schedule)
  • There will be one more Faculty Senate meeting, June 14. New senators should plan to attend this meeting.

Visiting students and their supporters have the option of going on a campus tour following the luncheon.     Western Oregon University’s Land Acknowledgement
    Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR is located within the traditional homelands of the Luckiamute Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
