    The Gudrun Hoobler German Scholarship

    $1000 is awarded yearly to a student who is enrolled in German the following year and meets the Scholarship qualifications. One third of the Scholarship pays for registration each quarter the student is enrolled in German. Applications are due spring term.  Please contact Kristen Klay for details.

    Baker Memorial Scholarship

    Each applicant must meet the following elements:

    ¨ Be a prospective or current full-time student at Western Oregon University

    ¨ Be age 24 or older

    ¨ Have an earned grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher

    ¨ Have a declared major in the Humanities [Communication Studies, English—any concentration, German Studies, Humanities, Philosophy, Spanish]

     

    Leonard W. Rice Memorial Scholarship

    Each applicant must meet the following elements:

    ¨ Be a senior at Western Oregon University

    ¨ Have a declared major in the Humanities [Communication Studies; English – Literature, Linguistics, Writing; German; Humanities; Philosophy; Spanish]

    ¨ FAFSA® and WOU General Scholarship application, only, are required

    Western Oregon University’s Land Acknowledgement
    Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR is located within the traditional homelands of the Luckiamute Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
