School Health Education
The school health education program prepares you to teach health in middle and high schools.
Students successfully completing the school health education (S.H.E.) coursework and teacher licensure requirements will earn a B.S. in Education, Oregon teaching license, and Health Endorsement. This means you’ll be authorized to teach health in middle and high schools. Learn more about teacher licensure.
You’ll complete the S.H.E. courses during your first three years and the professional licensure program (student teaching) during your final year. The S.H.E. courses are built upon the most current national standards for preparing health educators as identified by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.
