IDS Focus Areas
To complete an IDS major, students must select at least 2 focus areas (maximum of 3) and earn at least 27 credits in both focus areas. At minimum, 48 credits in the IDS major must be upper division (300 and 400 level).

*The above focus areas are common examples. Students can also select focus areas that are specific subject areas, such as: Psychology, Communication Studies, Writing, Spanish, Biology, etc.
**Students can also decide to Create Their Own Focus Area. Some past examples include Gender Studies, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, and more.
