Message from the Interim Dean

Welcome to WOU’s College of Liberal Arts & Sciences!

Summer at Western Oregon University is an amazing time of year – we have fledged our most recent graduates out into new spaces and adventures and we are gearing up for incoming first-time freshman, transfer, and returning students in the Fall. Summer is a time to rest and ruminate on the past academic year at the same time as we plan for the next.

We also continue to offer coursework in a variety of disciplines for students who wish to catch up, get ahead, continue on, or explore something new. In the college of LAS, we have summer session courses in Art, Anthropology, Business, Biology, Criminal Justice, Communications, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Economics, Earth Science, Gerontology, History, Linguistics, Mathematics, Organizational Leadership, Political Science, Psychology, Religion, Sociology, Statistics, Sustainability, Theater Arts, and Writing.

Although I am not new to WOU campus, I am new to this position, and I look forward to us learning, growing, and building together thoughtfully, intentionally, and holistically as part of our WOU community.
