Western Oregon University’s Newsletter: November 4, 2024

Homecoming week was a success! From the inspiring Alumni Hall of Fame Induction dinner and cozy bonfire to the exciting Wolves on the Green Golf Tournament, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The second WOU brew launched at homecoming called Mi Familia, with our talented partners at Xicha Brewing, which will help support student-athletes.

Looking ahead, November 4-8 is First-Generation College Student Week, filled with engaging activities, workshops, and events designed to empower and inspire. Following that, November 11-16 is Veteran’s Week, honoring student veterans and those in the community.

We invite you all to attend these fantastic events! Check the events section for details.

A Message from President Peters

Dear Community:

What a fantastic Homecoming weekend we celebrated a few weeks ago! It was wonderful to see familiar and new faces at the Wolves on the Green Golf Tournament and to welcome new students and their families during homecoming festivities. I was particularly excited to launch our second WOU beer, Mi Familia, in partnership with Xicha Brewing, with a portion of the proceeds supporting scholarships for our Latinè student-athletes.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special weekend. Your presence and participation make Homecoming a truly memorable tradition at our university. I can’t wait for next year’s festivities!

We. Are. Wolves.
