Hana, She/They, Junior majoring in public health. Their hometown is Portland, Oregon. She loves dancing, spending time with friends, and going on adventures. When asked, why MSU? She answered “I chose MSU because it was the first place I found a community on campus. I wanted to connect more with my own culture and be more involved with expanding the inclusion, celebration, and representation of multicultural students on campus”. This year, she is most excited about celebrating different MSU cultures through upcoming events and connecting more with our members.

Raul Sagrero Gaona

Raul, He/Him/His/El, is a Junior majoring in Psychology and Spanish. His hometown is Salem, Oregon and he likes to play music with his friends and cook. When asked, why MSU? He said “I decided to join MSU because I wanted to help represent and advocate for different cultural backgrounds of students at Western while celebrating our differences as a whole college community.” This year, he is most excited to meet new students and people as well as to share our own stories including cultures and backgrounds.

Jessica Garibay Ochoa

Jessica, She/Her/Ella, is a Senior majoring in Public Health and Psychology. Her hometown is Salem, Oregon and she likes to travel, hike, and spend time with friends and family. When asked, why MSU? She said “The reason I joined MSU is because I want to create and present different cultural events that will help other students on campus learn about different cultures around the world and feel like they are being represented on campus.” This year, she is most excited to organize and plan cultural events throughout the year and work alongside her peers.
