Social Science
The BA degree in Social Science is an interdisciplinary major in social science that prepares students for a variety of responsibilities in both private and governmental agencies. Students can specialize by choosing courses, with the approval of an advisor, that best meet their goals and needs. The major requires 65 credits which must be from the following disciplines: Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Sustainability, History, Political Science or Sociology. A minimum of 36 credits must be upper division courses. No more than 20 credits may be in Criminal Justice. Courses should be chosen in consultation with a Social Science faculty advisor.
Students must also take at least one theory course and one methods course from the following lists:

Courses in the minor must be from the following disciplines: Anthropology, Criminal Justice, History, Political Science, Sociology or Sustainability. At least 15 credit hours must be upper-division.
