Clinic hours:

SHCC 2024/2025 hours are 9-12pm and 1-5pm Monday through Friday.

Services:

At SHCC, we provide mental health counseling and medical services. We continuously evaluate the needs of students to ensure great care in a timely manner.

Who is eligible for SHCC services?

All WOU enrolled students will be eligible for services through the Health Fee. You must be located in Oregon to access services.

How much is the health fee?

The health fee is $175 for students taking in-person or hybrid classes on the Monmouth campus. Online students, and those taking classes on the Salem campus, pay a reduced rate of $130. The fee is billed to your student account.

How is the health fee determined?

Once a determination is made on funding needed to sustain SHCC services, a proposal is made to TFAC (Tuition and Fee Committee). Feedback is gathered from students on SHAC (Student Health Advisory Committee), student representatives from TFAC, and a student survey distributed to all students prior to making a decision.

This year, the fee allows SHCC to maintain current service levels and hire two additional counselors.

The SHCC health fee is the lowest in the state and provides students access to medical and counseling services. We provide in-person and telehealth visits to students in Oregon. The cost of the health fee is less than one counseling session in the community and we offer less wait time for services than community agencies are able to offer.

We are looking for students to get involved with our advisory committee. This committee will provide direction and feedback for the planning, services, and health fee of the Student Health and Counseling Center. This is a great way to get involved and make an impact as a student!
